Vovo is a hard-wearing sport weight yarn from Retrosaria, grown, scoured, milled, and dyed entirely in Portugal. It's smooth, worsted-spun, and wears like a dream. We love it for long-lasting sweaters and cardigans. Like all Retrosaria yarn, it's made from free range sheep and is non-superwash and unbleached. And, there's the adorable drawing of a tattooed grandma on the label (Vovó is Portuguese for grandma!).
Put up: 156 yards per 50g ball, no winding needed
Content: 100% fine Portuguese wool (mostly Campaniça breed)
Gauge: 20-23 sts x 28-32 rows = 4 inches on US size 4-7 needles.
Care: wash gently in cool water, lay flat to dry
