Back after a long wait, better than ever! The new skeins have been washed at the mill and are even fluffier. More colors coming up soon, check back often-- blues are coming next!
Peace Fleece Worsted is one of Harrisville Designs awesome tweedy yarns, milled in New Hampshire. The Peace Fleece line was originally started as a way to warm up relations between the US and USSR during the cold war, and has always sourced wool to foster social relations with underserved populations.
From Harrisville:
" We work to support pastoral communities that have been historically in conflict with the US. Currently we are working with Navajo ranchers to offer fair market prices for the Rambouillet sheep wool raised by families in the Navajo Nation. Our yarn is made of this wool blended with a domestic fine wool and mohair for strength.
We love what we do, and we hope you will too."
Put up: 200yds/ 100g twisted hank, wind before using.
Contents: 75% Navajo Rambouillet & domestic Fine Wool/ 25% Mohair
