Akerworks Spindle Starter Kit

This kit contains everything you need to spin your own yarn! Akerworks has included all the tools, materials, and step-by-step written and video instructions you'll need to make your first skein of glorious handspun yarn. This makes a perfect gift for anyone in your life who is curious about spinning (even yourself!)

If you already know how to drop spindle, this kit is a great way to try out Akerworks' innovative modular adjustable spindle system. Each spindle is made of interchangeable whorl and shaft components, so you can experiment with whorl size and position, and even work through a project using a single whorl with multiple shafts (as you'll be guided to do in the instructions that come with this kit).

Each kit contains:

• Medium Geranium Whorl (we pick the color, or call us for available color options)
• Two 10" Spindle Shafts with Hook Protectors
• One 12" Spindle Shaft with Hook Protector
• Four TensiTamers
• Two 2 oz. balls of Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) spinning fiber wool top (sourced from Laughing Lamb Fiber in Nebraska)
• Step-by-step instruction guide for spinning with a drop spindle

All packaged in a Cardboard Box that's the perfect size to double as a DIY spindle kate (instructions for how to DIY included!)
