Rigid heddle looms, spinning wheels, drum carders, hand cards and a picker are available all weekend--  bring your washed fleece if you want, there is plenty of time to work through it.  Stuck on a knitting or crochet project?  Bring that too.  Need a lesson on sock heel turning?  Great, bring your supplies and questions!  Have a long term project you’d like to focus on for your time here?  Bring it with you, we are happy to send goodies home with you for later.  Want a little more guidance or structure?  Reach out beforehand and we’ll be prepared.  Knitting, crochet, mending, embroidery, spinning, felting, fiber preparation, and basic weaving: yes!  Our mission is to provide something for every fiber enthusiast’s taste and help every single participant refresh their creativity.

The goodie bags are great, and the vendors are outstanding.  Shop all weekend, and take yourself home something special.  This retreat is like no other—our format is meant to help you relax, eat delicious meals prepared by the kitchen, and let the creativity flow.

And, of course, the yoga! Kelly Baraby joins us again to lead us in restorative yoga.  Four yoga classes are spread throughout the weekend starting Friday afternoon, and of course are voluntary.  Kelly has decades of experience, and after training extensively in different kinds of yoga, has developed her own style to bring relaxation and restoration for all body types and abilities.  For us fiber artists, there is focus on balancing our crafting processes and health in our bodies.  Whether you have never practiced yoga or are an experienced yogi, your level of participation is welcome.  Class will not be full of strenuous poses held for long stretches of time, and you won’t even see a downward dog; Kelly’s style is gentle and results are amazing and she is great at modifications to fit every different body.

New this year, an add-on day!  We are taking things a step further by starting 24 hours early, in a very low key way.  Come check in at 3pm on Thursday if you’d like to get started on your creativity and relaxation even sooner.  There won’t be dinner served from the kitchen that night, instead we will do a cold cuts and snacky bar with inclusions for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diets.  No yoga in the add-on time, but you will get first dibs on shopping and the fiber bar.
